No Shortage of Funds for Welfare Schemes – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

• Press conference on the eve of the Winter Session

• 18 Bills to be tabled

Nagpur :- The state government is fully prepared to discuss all major issues concerning Marathwada and Vidarbha. Assuring that there will be no shortage of funds for the welfare schemes currently being implemented in the state, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence that the upcoming session will meet the expectations and aspirations of the people.

After the Cabinet meeting held ahead of the Winter Session, Chief Minister Fadnavis interacted with the media at the government residence, Ramgiri. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil, OBC & Bahujan Welfare Minister Atul Save, Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai, Soil & Water Conservation Minister Sanjay Rathod, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaiak, and Minister of State for Finance Adv. Ashish Jaiswal were present on the occasion.

CM Fadnavis said that Maharashtra’s economy is among the leading state economies in India on all major parameters. Around 92 percent of farmers affected by floods—over 90 lakh farmers—have already been provided financial assistance. Farmers whose aid is pending due to the KYC process will also receive assistance soon. He further informed that an additional support of ₹10,000 has been sanctioned, along with separate aid for land erosion, damaged wells, and related losses.

He stated that work will be carried out even on Saturday and Sunday, and the government aims to conduct more than 10 hours of business daily during the Nagpur Session. A total of 18 Bills will be tabled in this session, and extensive discussions will be held on issues related to Vidarbha and Marathwada. He added that investment agreements signed at Davos and various other platforms are progressing rapidly, and these industries are now setting up in Maharashtra.

Solving Citizens’ Issues is the Government’s Primary Agenda Deputy CM Eknath Shinde

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the government has taken people-centric and welfare-oriented decisions. He emphasized that issues related to Vidarbha and Marathwada will be prioritized in the session and resolving citizens’ problems remains the government’s main agenda.

He further stated that important subjects such as agriculture, irrigation, healthcare, and employment generation in Vidarbha and Marathwada will be discussed thoroughly. Since the session is being held in Vidarbha, the government intends to provide justice by ensuring focused discussions on regional issues.

Highlighting Maharashtra’s leadership in GDP contribution, startups, and foreign investment, he said that the state also leads in the number of infrastructure projects underway. He assured that Maharashtra will contribute significantly toward achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India a five-trillion-dollar economy and will not fall short in this mission.
