SKILLING THE SOUL: HR NEXUS 2025 REIMAGINES LEARNING AND LEADERSHIP AT NADP

Nagpur :- National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, hosted HR Nexus 2025, a landmark national conference that brought together thought leaders, HR professionals, industry experts, and academicians to reimagine the future of work in the age of artificial intelligence, inclusion, and purpose.

With the theme “Redefining the Talent Pipeline: AI, Skills and Human Touch in the Future Workplace,” the event marked a bold step toward building organizations that are not only efficient but also empathetic, inclusive, and future-ready. From keynote addresses to interactive panel discussions, fireside chats, and cultural reflections, HR Nexus 2025 became a vibrant platform where ideas met action. The day began with an inspiring inaugural session led by Dr. V. G. Bhooma, Additional Member (HR), Railway Board, who emphasized the importance of digital skilling, emotional intelligence, and continuous learning in public sector HR transformation. Her address set the tone for a day of deep reflection and forward-looking dialogue.

Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran, Director of NTPC School of Business, spoke passionately about “Humane AI,” urging organizations to embed trust, adaptability, and inclusion into AI-driven systems. Prof. Mit Vachhrajani of IIM Indore, the keynote speaker, reminded the audience that the true power of HR lies in interpreting data through empathy — where analytics meet human understanding. The conference unfolded through four thematic tracks:

Track 1: Trust and Transformation in Recruitment explored how AI can enhance fairness and psychological safety in hiring, while preserving the human story.

Track 2: Building Future-Ready Talent Pipelines focused on predictive analytics, succession planning, and dynamic talent architectures that go beyond traditional qualifications.

Track 3: Culture, Collaboration & Innovation highlighted the role of shared purpose, open-door policies, and inclusive ideation in driving organizational innovation.

Track 4: Skilling, Reskilling & Upskilling emphasized the need for DOJO workplaces, leadership development, and continuous learning cultures to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

The Closing Plenary, moderated by Prof. Tejas Suma Shyam, provided a unique perspective on Indian Knowledge Systems and their relevance in shaping modern organizational culture blueprints. The event also featured a Fireside Chat with corporate leaders and NADP students, bridging classroom learning with real-world HR challenges. A special session on Best Practices in HR showcased innovative models from across sectors, judged by a distinguished jury. The conference culminated with an interactive workshop, “Crafting Your Culture Blueprint,” where every participant designed a one-page roadmap to embed values and systems that foster innovation and belonging within their organisations, moderated by Tejas Suma Shyam.

NADP felicitated Cdr. Shrawan Kapila, Jeena & Co, Nandini Singh, IBM, and Rajesh Munishwar, Space Verse Technology Pvt Ltd, for their exemplary contribution to the growth of the Indian Industry and linkage to innovation and education. Dr. Rajesh Pande, Vice Chancellor of RBU, delivered the valedictory address, inspiring participants to view HR as a force for national transformation and technology as a lever for change for Viksit Bharat. Dr. J. P. Dash, Principal Director of NADP, closed the day with a visionary message: “We believe that the future of Bharat’s talent pipeline will not be built by algorithms alone — it will be built on trust, values, and the human touch that drives innovation and collaboration.”

HR Nexus 2025 was supported by a strong coalition of partners including IIM Indore (Knowledge Partner), VMA( Event Partner), ISTD (National Partner), VIA (Industry Partner), RBU (Academic Partner), Maari Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology and Management(Merchandising Partner), and Yantra India Limited (Corporate Partner). Their collaboration added immense value to the event’s success. With over 40 speakers and 150 participants, HR Nexus 2025 emerged as one of the largest HR events in Vidarbha — a true confluence of minds committed to building a Viksit Bharat 2047 through talent, trust, and technology.

As the curtains fall on this transformative day, NADP reaffirms its role not just as a training institute, but as a platform for national capacity building.
