Nagpur :- To foster a drug-free generation and promote vital social awareness, the 3 Maharashtra Girls Battalion NCC, under the leadership and supervision of Commanding Officer Lt Col Priti Tiwari, successfully organised a comprehensive Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Awareness Programme on 21 September 2026.
The programme was held at Rajat Jayanti Sabhagruha, Nagpur Veterinary College, Seminary Hills, Nagpur, and aimed to educate participants about the harmful effects of substance abuse while encouraging collective action to build a healthier, safer and drug-free society. Officials from the Anti-Drugs Department delivered an insightful and powerful awareness lecture, educating cadets on the psychological, social, and physical dangers of substance abuse. Following the talk, officials led all participants in a solemn Anti-Drug Physical Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.
Cadets staged an expressive and high-energy Nukkad Natak, showcasing real-life scenarios on how youth fall into addiction traps and highlighting pathways to recovery and community support. Participants carried banners and placards around the campus precincts, chanting slogans to advocate for a drug-free society. The event was conducted with enthusiastic participation from 500 NCC Cadets. The drive also witnessed active involvement from 03 Officers, 04 JCOs, 12 PI Staff, and 06 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs).
Emphasizing the core movement of “Nasha Mukt Bharat – Healthy Bharat,” the programme successfully empowered young cadets to act as ambassadors against substance abuse within their schools, colleges, and local communities
