Nagpur 5 : The Department of English of Delhi Public School MIHAN proudly hosted its Annual Literary Odyssey-A Feast for Mind on 4thSeptember. The event was a vibrant celebration of literature, creativity, and expression, bringing together young minds, teachers, and literature enthusiasts under one roof.
The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Ms.Asawari Shenolikar Deputy Editor of The Hitavada who highlighted the timeless relevance of literature in nurturing imagination and shaping society. The President and Pro Vice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Ms Tulika Kedia congratulated the students for their enthusiastic participation and performances. Director of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Ms Savita Jaiswal appreciated the efforts of the participants. The Principal of DPS MIHAN Ms Nidhi Yadav in her welcome address stressed the importance of such events which help to sharpen linguistic skills, creativity and confidence amongst the students.
The day witnessed a variety of literary competitions and activities such as poetry recitation, art presentation, Literary Quiz, Monologue and Moods and Expression for teachers. Students showcased remarkable talent, originality, and confidence, making the festival a true celebration of words and ideas.
Mr. Sachin Jahagirdar, Ms.Sraboni Dasgupta and Ms.Asawari Deshpande graced the occasion as guests. They appreciated the initiative taken by the school to inspire participants to view literature as a bridge between cultures and generations.
The winners of various competitions were felicitated with certificates and trophies. The Overall Trophy was bagged by Narayana Vidyalayam for its outstanding performance. Many prominent schools of Nagpur like Narayana Vidyalayam, DPS Kamptee Road, Bhavan’s Srikrishna Krishna, Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar, Bhavan’s Chichbhuvan, Sandipani School, B R A Mundle School, Montfort School and School of Scholars participated in the competition.
Quiz Masters Mr. Padmanabhan Pillai and Mr. Aniruddha Moraka conducted a highly informative quiz. The fest also featured a mesmerizing dance performance. Pranav Raj and Swesthika S. conducted the proceedings while the vote of thanks was proposed by Anika Ashtankar expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers who made the event a grand success.
