Muslim Youth League, Nagpur, has submitted a memorandum to the Joint Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Asha Pathan, at Chief Minister Secretariate, Hyderabad House, Nagpur, as well as to the District Collector of Nagpur. Through this memorandum, the organization has requested the declaration of a ‘Dry Day’ across Maharashtra and Nagpur district on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
Zubair Khan, National Vice President of the Muslim Youth League, stated that Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is a significant religious occasion commemorating the birth anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The day is observed with devotion, respect, peace, and spirituality. Religious processions, gatherings, and social welfare activities are organized across the state, with large-scale participation from people of all sections of society.
In the memorandum, the Muslim Youth League has urged the Government to impose a complete ban on the sale of all types of liquor by declaring a ‘Dry Day’ throughout Maharashtra and Nagpur district. The organization stated that such a measure would help preserve the sanctity and dignity of the occasion while promoting social harmony and maintaining law and order.
The delegation that submitted the memorandum included Zubair Khan (National Vice President, Muslim Youth League), Irshad Ansari (City President, Muslim Youth League Nagpur), Bakhtiyar Suleman (City General Secretary, Muslim Youth League Nagpur), Tausif Qureshi (City Treasurer), Imtiaz Ansari, Shahbaz Khan, Ziaurrahman Ansari, Ikram Khan, Moin Khan, Nazim Shaikh, Shahbaz Shah, and other members of the organization.
