Record number of visitors visit sitabuldi fort on 15 aug 2025 

Nagpur  16 :  Sitabuldi Fort was open on 15 August 2025 for public on the occasion of 79th Independence Day. A total Nos of 27632 visitors Nagpurians visited the Sitabuldi Fort which is located inside the Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area Complex.

Around six months back, on 26 January 2025, approximately 26,800 people had visited the Fort. The increase in number on historical events at to the grandeur of Sitabuldi Fort, a historic Fort in the middle of Nagpur town, is now a beautiful tourist attraction which reminds of the greatness of the British architects. Crowd control from Railway Gate towards Sitabuldi Fort and within the Fort complex was well managed by Nagpur police and Military police.

The public were thrilled to witness the arrangements and hospitality of the soldiers inspite of their various other commitment. Patriotic songs were played all along the heritage route including the office Area where people in large number stopped to dance to the music. Adequate arrangement for water and eateries was catered for the public, including medical arrangement and ambulance placed at the entrance and exit. The crowd swelled after 1 PM, after which people were requested to exit early as they were busy taking selfie, dancing to music and occupying space at various places inside the fort complex.

Witnessing the large crowd outside the fort gate, the Army personnel extended the timing from 4 PM to 4.45 PM so that maximum people could enter and take a look at the historical place. This gesture was appreciated by the public and thanked the administration for a wonderful time spent at Sitabuldi Fort.
