Nagpur 22 : During ticket checking in Train No. 12140 on the Nagpur–Bhusaval section, two minor girls (aged 13 & 14) were found frightened in coach S/5 without valid tickets. On inquiry, they revealed that they were Class 9 students and had left for Mumbai without informing their families, directly from their school/coaching. They were carrying their school identity cards and were residents of Lakhani, Bhandara district (Maharashtra).
The ticket checking team — Shri Rohit Shukla (Sr. TE/NGP), Shri Vijay Verma (Hd. TE/NGP) and Shri Anshul Jain (Sr. TE/NGP) — immediately informed the Commercial Control, Nagpur and safely handed over the girls to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for further counseling and necessary action.
This timely and humane effort by the vigilant ticket checking team ensured the safety of the two minor girls. The Nagpur Division administration has appreciated their alertness and responsible action.
