<p><strong>Nagpur :- </strong>Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) inaugurated two major national initiatives today — Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2025 and Special Campaign 5.0 — at its Headquarters in Nagpur with enthusiastic participation from executives, employees, and staff.</p>
<p>The event began with a warm welcome to Chief Vigilance Officer Ajay Mhetre, who led the gathering in taking the Swachhata Pledge, reaffirming WCL’s dedication to cleanliness, transparency and service delivery. He also addressed the gathering, urging all stakeholders to actively contribute towards sustainable development and efficient governance.</p>
<p>Adding cultural dimension to the campaign, Nukkad Natak Team “Miraki” presented a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak (street play) on ‘E-Waste Management, Recycling, and Community Responsibility’. The performance drew wide applause and successfully conveyed the importance of waste segregation and sustainable disposal practices.</p>
<p>To further boost employee engagement, WCL unveiled a vibrant Swachhata Selfie Point at its HQ premises. Employees enthusiastically clicked photographs, symbolizing their personal commitment to maintaining cleanliness in workplaces, colonies, and communities.</p>
<p>Under Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 (17 Sept – 2 Oct), with the theme “Swachhotsav – A Celebration of Cleanliness and Community Participation”, WCL will organize cleanliness drives in offices, townships, and public areas, along with awareness programs for employees and community members.</p>
<p>Under Special Campaign 5.0 (15 Sept – 31 Oct), emphasis will be on office cleanliness, disposal of old records, improving efficiency, grievance redressal, and strengthening citizen-centric services.</p>
<p>Both these campaigns aim to combine behavioural change with systemic improvements, ensuring that cleanliness, efficiency, and accountability are integrated into everyday functioning.</p>
<p>Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Mhetre highlighted that these campaigns reflect WCL’s commitment to the vision of Swachh Bharat and good governance. He stressed that cleanliness and responsible waste management are not one-time activities but a continuous effort that needs active participation from all. With these initiatives, WCL has once again underlined its resolve to contribute meaningfully towards a cleaner, greener, and more efficient future.</p>
