Nagpur :- Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Field Office Nagpur, in collaboration with Nagpur Municipal Corporation successfully conducted a special cleanliness drive at the Mokshdham Ghat premises in Nagpur as part of the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign. The drive was organized under Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath initative.
The activity aimed at reinforcing the message of “Cleanliness is Service” and encouraging collective community responsibility towards maintaining hygiene and sanitation in public spaces. Mokshdham Ghat, being one of the important in the city, was chosen for the drive to highlight the need for a clean and dignified environment at such places.
Officials and staff members of CBC Nagpur, along with municipal workers and volunteers, actively participated in the campaign. The team undertook sweeping, waste collection, and removal of plastic and other non-biodegradable items from the premises. Special attention was given to ensuring that the surroundings of the ghat were made neat, clean, and user-friendly.
Speaking on the occasion, CBC Nagpur FPO Saurabh Khekde emphasized that the campaign was not just about cleaning a place once, but about spreading awareness and cultivating a habit of cleanliness in day-to-day life. CBC Nagpur has urged citizens to actively contribute to maintaining cleanliness in their neighborhoods and to minimize the use of single-use plastics.
