Amravati :- A special career and placement-focused session was organized for final-year students at Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Amravati. The session was delivered by Abhijeet A. Mahankal, Chief Technology Architect at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), who served as the keynote speaker.
In view of the rapid transformation in the IT industry due to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation, Mahankal guided students on the importance of staying placement-ready and acquiring industry-relevant skills. He elaborated on the IT career roadmap, in-demand technologies, and provided valuable insights on preparing effectively for TCS interviews and recruitment processes.
While sharing his life journey, he described his inspiring path from humble beginnings to working with international clients across the UK, US, India, and Germany. He emphasized the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, clear goal setting, and time management. In addition to the student session, Mahankal also conducted a separate interactive session for faculty members in the presence of Principal Dr. S. M. Kherde, Deans, and Heads of Departments. During this discussion, various syllabus-related aspects were reviewed, and valuable suggestions were shared regarding the inclusion of industry-relevant topics to align the curriculum with current industry expectations. The discussion was highly productive and constructive, and it will certainly help students become better prepared for careers in the IT industry.
