Mumbai ८: Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan attended a programme organised to present the ‘Sarvottam Nagrik Samman’ to outstanding achievers from various walks of life in Mumbai. The programme was organised by a Non Governmental Organisation ‘Meghashrey’.
Prof. Ram Shinde, Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Adv. Ashish Shelar, Minister for Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Prashant Narnavare, Secretary to the Governor, S. Ramamoorthy, Deputy Secretary, and Seema Singh, Founder of Meghashrey NGO were present.
The awardees included Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Padma Vibhushan Vijay Bhatkar, Padmashri Popatrao Pawar, actor Anupam Kher, film director Imtiaz Ali, journalist Navika Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of University of Mumbai Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni, playback singer Kumar Sanu, actor-director Ajinkya Deo, boxer Vijender Singh and educationist Dr. Indu Shahani.
