Nagpur :- NCC Officers Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm and fervour on 21 June 2026, in consonance with this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, emotional resilience and healthy living across all age groups.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by 10 Officers, 12 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) 40 Instructors and 559 Cadet Training Officer (CTO) Trainees, reflecting the Academy’s commitment to promoting a healthy, disciplined and balanced lifestyle.

The Yoga session was conducted in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Government of India, Participants performed various yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation exercises aimed at enhancing physical fitness, mental resilience, emotional well/being and overall health.
The observance of International Day of Yoga at the Academy reinforced the values of discipline, endurance, leadership and holistic development among future NCC leaders undergoing training. The event also highlighted yoga’s significance as an integral part of India’s rich cultural heritage and its role in promoting healthy ageing, vitality, resilience and overall well-being throughout life.
The programme concluded with all participants reaffirming their commitment to making yoga an integral part of their daily lives and promoting its benefits within their respective institutions and communities.
