Mumbai :- Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma presented the National Integration and Social Harmony Award to Palga Rinpoche, the 8th reincarnate Lama of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition from Ladakh, and senior thinker Indresh Kumar in recognition of their contribution to promoting peace, national integration and social harmony at a function in Mumbai.
The programme was organised at the initiative of Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Anna Bansode.
Representatives of various faiths, members of the Buddhist Sangha and invited dignitaries were present on the occasion.
