Nagpur :- It has been reported that the 500 mm diameter distribution main pipeline of the Kalmna Minimata Command Area has been damaged by a machine near Umiya Society, Kalmna Road, this evening (Sept 29, 2025).
The old 500 mm diameter pipeline, which was passing beneath a private property, was damaged while the property owner was carrying out borewell work within the premises. As a result of this incident, the entire HDMA-2 zone of Kalmna Minimata Command Area will experience disruptions in water supply until the repair work is completed.
Affected Areas:
Minimata Nagar, Panch Zhopda Nagar, Janta Colony, Janki Nagar, Jalaram Nagar, Surya Nagar, Chikhali Layout, Industrial Area, and Adivasi Hostel Area
Orange City Water (OCW) and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) have already initiated necessary repair work on priority to restore normal water supply at the earliest.
