Nagpur :- On the occasion of Doctors’ Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Nagpur organized a meaningful healthcare service initiative under its ‘Jeevandhara’ Project at DMMC Shalinitai Meghe Hospital, Wanadongri, Hingna, on Wednesday morning.
The programme commenced with the felicitation of the hospital’s doctors in recognition of their selfless service, compassion, and invaluable contribution to society. The club members expressed their appreciation for the medical fraternity’s tireless efforts in providing quality healthcare and improving the lives of countless patients.
As part of the Jeevandhara Project, the club extended financial assistance by providing one month’s medicines to two economically underprivileged dialysis patients, helping ease the burden of their ongoing treatment expenses. The beneficiaries were Nisha Shinde (35) and Shantanu Raut (50). A total amount of ₹9,820 was spent on the medicines.
The project was successfully implemented under the leadership of Project Director Dr. Vandana Baraskar.
The programme was attended by Club President Pooja Saoji, PDC Meena Kulkarni, Dr. Vijaya Khanjode, Secretary Padma Deshraj, ISO Anshu Shukla, Executive Member Archana Marathe, Club Editor Dr. Meenal Dawande, and Laxmi Jha, whose active participation contributed to the success of the initiative.
Addressing the gathering, President Pooja Saoji reiterated the club’s commitment to serving society through meaningful healthcare and community welfare initiatives. She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the doctors for their unwavering dedication and humanitarian service.
The event reflected the true spirit of Inner Wheel—”Service and Friendship”—while embracing this year’s theme, “Grow and Flourish,” by bringing hope, care, and support to those in need.
